RUST-OLEUM acquires Chemtec Chemicals B.V.

Rust-Oleum Netherlands BV part of RPM International Inc. (www.rpminc.com) has acquired Dutch Specialty Coatings Company Chemtec Chemicals BV as of 1 March 2010.

Chemtec is a manufacturer of specialty cleaning and maintenance products based in Rotterdam. Chemtec offers a broad selection of products for maintaining the exterior of buildings including cleaners for a variety of surfaces, waterproofing sealers, and anti-graffiti products. They also market slip-resistance coatings for a wide variety of substrates everything from wood to concrete and tile floors. Most of their current business is in the Netherlands, selling primarily to building maintenance contractors and paint stores.

Chemtec will become a stand-alone business unit within our Rust-Oleum Industrial Business Group led by Steve Winrow, Commercial Director Europe, and Reinout Klapwijk, Location Director Rust-Oleum Netherlands B.V., will manage directly the business of Chemtec.

The acquisition of Chemtec adds niche products and opportunities to our industrial business group. Enabling this unique product assortment wider exposure throughout the current Rust-Oleum distribution network, expanding the presence of these products and technology throughout Europe.
